Yellowfin Tuna Nicoise Salad

Ingredients:
  • ⁠Yellowfin tuna
  • Sesame seeds
  • ⁠Black pepper
  • ⁠Salt
  • ⁠Lettuce
  • ⁠3 eggs
  • Potatoes
  • ⁠Tomatoes
  • Green beans
Method
  1. Cut the tuna into long, cylinder-shaped pieces.
  2. In a small bowl, mix sesame seeds, salt, and pepper to create a flavorful rub.
  3. Roll the tuna in the rub, ensuring all sides are well coated.
  4. Sear the tuna in a hot pan, turning to cook each side evenly. Aim for a red center with a cooked, golden-brown exterior.
  5. Meanwhile, boil the potatoes until tender.
  6. Boil the eggs to your preferred doneness, then peel and set aside.
  7. Halve the cherry tomatoes and cook the green beans until just tender.
  8. Combine the potatoes, eggs, tomatoes, and green beans in a large, shallow serving bowl.
  9. Slice the seared tuna into evenly sized discs and arrange them on top of the salad.
  10. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and season with salt and pepper—or add your favorite dressing for an extra touch of flavor.
